Feel the music!

So you know how I love music and dancing?

Oh you didn't know that?

Well I do.

And I have found the perfect exercise for me!

Here is a fun video. This is one of the songs that we dance to in class. Artists are actually creating music just for Zumba!

So have you heard of it? It's really growing in popularity right now.

A friend of mine teaches a class in town and she invited me to come along about two months ago.

I now go to four classes a week...and if they had classes on monday and friday, i'd go then as well.

It's basically just dancing for an hour. But really, really energetic dancing. Mostly Latin style with hiphop, belling dancing, bollywood and African moves thrown in for fun.

I have never sweated so hard in my life. And had so much fun! The hour goes by in a flash.

And anyone can do it. No dance experience needed. You just have to let loose and have fun. It took me a few times before I felt comfortable but it's much better now. I'm definitely the chubbiest person in class...but everyone is just there having a great time so i don't feel too self-conscious.

I encourage you all to give it a try. You will have a great time, I promise.

This is a pic from my the last master class. Which just means it's 1.5 hrs. I'm the chubby one in the front ;-)

Happy Birthday Albert!

Today, in honor of Einstein's birthday I give you...

A brilliant documentary about his life.

I LOVE this documentary. Taught me everything I know about Einstein...and beer...and atomic bombs...and Tasmania.

One of my favorite parts:

Honey, you are on the couch tonight.

As I crawled into bed last night and looked at the other side of the bed...I starting laughing.

Where is my future husband going to sleep? There just isn't enough room for two people and my pile of books.

I think I need a bigger bed :-)

Can you hear me now?

Today is Alexander Graham Bell's birthday.
Ponder, if you will, just what he started.

We went from this:

To this:
In a short 135 years. (this, by-the-way is the Goldstriker iPhone 3GS Supreme. It sells for a paltry $3.2 million)

Think about how different your life would be without a telephone, not to mention a cellphone.

I personally went from boycotting cellphones until I was having my iphone permanently attached to my head. Although I don't actually use it to call people, I have a phone phobia. Anyone heard of that one?

Anyway. Just wanted to wish ole Mr. Bell a happy birthday and give all ya'll some food for thought.

I'm hanging up now.
