Soon

I love the October night sky.

Ursa Major hangs low and heavy-laden in the north...

...and Orion is slowly making his way home to me.

Katie, did you write that? That was poetry. It made me yearn for something.

Mom says, "hot cider and cake donuts!"

Ha! That's SO weird that you would say that, Mom. I had a dream about donuts last night - probably the first time in my life.
We were at a donut bakery, and I ordered a "white" one, and it came with so much frosting I couldn't find the donut.
Tess ordered a cake donut, and it only had one little fluffy puff of whipped cream in the middle, and I was so jealous.

I hope that story has enlightened your minds on this lovely fall day.

I did write that Jayne. It's not quite poetry, but thanks :-)

And awesome dream, cake doughnuts are the only doughnuts i like. Especially the pumpkin ones at the apple orchard in Oregon.

I'm officially enlightened!

Jupiter is super bright, you can see him if you stay up late!

I also am keen on Orion in the winter sky. You can also spot Cassiopeia a bit east of Polaris these evenings. She is a "crown" but is easily recognizable as a W.
