Turns out dragons are really sweet.

Just started a new book at the suggestion of Kiki over at Happy Fiction and i am loving it.

Here is the review from Amazon:

Publishers Weekly

In this delightful first novel, the opening salvo of a trilogy, Novik seamlessly blends fantasy into the history of the Napoleonic wars. Here be dragons, beasts that can speak and reason, bred for strength and speed and used for aerial support in battle. Each nation has its own breeds, but none are so jealously guarded as the mysterious dragons of China. Veteran Capt. Will Laurence of the British Navy is therefore taken aback after his crew captures an egg from a French ship and it hatches a Chinese dragon, which Laurence names Temeraire. When Temeraire bonds with the captain, the two leave the navy to sign on with His Majesty's sadly understaffed Aerial Corps, which takes on the French in sprawling, detailed battles that Novik renders with admirable attention to 19th-century military tactics. Though the dragons they encounter are often more fully fleshed-out than the stereotypical human characters, the author's palpable love for her subject and a story rich with international, interpersonal and internal struggles more than compensate. It really is a great story, i'm enjoying it. There are 5 or 6 books in the series so will hopefully keep me entertained for awhile!

Random anyone?

Hold on to your hats...this is going to be one random ride.

First I have to share a beautiful Utah Bluebird day. This was Friday morning. It's been dumping snow ever since.

Second. My kitten has huge fangs! I'm serious. I've compared them to other cats. They actually hang out of her mouth when it's closed, like a saber-tooth tiger. I felt the need to share.

Third. While shopping for a birthday present for my nephew I found this:

Katie Camper! That's me! Not sure about the Holiday Friends. Or the friction-powered holiday home ;-)

Lastly. My church group got together to dye eggs for Easter and we ended up with some real works of art.

This one by Chip had a whole mountain, river, sun scene going on. It's amazing what you can fit on an egg.

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend, I surely did.
