Watch out Mikhail Baryshnikov, here we come!

Saturday was Emmy's first dance recital and it. was. awesome! It was Seussical and Emmy was a Red Fish.

It was so darn cute. She is in the 3-4 year old class and they are just the cutest little uncoordinated critters. Emmy is on the end, the shortest one.

Look at that form! (She is second from end on the right)

They had this shimmery fabric that represented water...

They are supposed to drop the "water" on the ground but Emmy had a hard time with that. She wanted the fabric to lay perfectly smooth on the stage. It was darling. She did finally get it right in the performance and chucked that fabric on the ground.

This is a very difficult ballet move... I think...

The perfect kissy fish mouth.

The whole family was there, very excited. Caleb was not smiling 30 minutes later. You could see him contemplating 15 more years of tutus and ballet slippers.

Here is Jonah as the show started. Such a happy, sweet boy.

And here is Jonah about 20 minutes later. He doesn't really appreciate the arts. He's more of a sports guy.

These are little elephants from Horton Hears a Who.

And these are for you Bush Babe. Tiny little 3 year old kangaroos flopping around on stage. It was one of the cutest things i've ever seen.

After the recital Emmy graciously accepted the flowers and praise heaped upon her.

And quickly decided that she was done and ready for ice cream. Run!!

Can't wait for the next recital Emmy!
