Happy Halloween!!!

I hope you all have a fun and sugar filled day.

Not posting about Halloween today, sorry. I'm posting about Bandit!! She came to visit the office a couple of days ago and she's pretty much the sweetest dog on the planet.

I love Saint Bernards. She is actually a golden retriever, saint bernard mix. Pretty darn perfect if you ask me. And best of all...she is HUGE!

She has size 9 feet :-)

Egads i have chubby feet! It doesn't help that i have a deformed big toe...

It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!

I love Charlie Brown. Have i told you that lately? I do. I love love love the the Christmas movie and the Halloween one is a close second. It really has nothing to do with this post, just tellin' ya.

So i love carving pumpkins, it's so fun. It's gooey and messy and you get to bake the seeds after. These are a few fabulous pumpkin ideas for this year.

(this is one my friend Brittany did last night, so cute)

(k, that's funny!)

(i love jack)

What about you? What did you carve this year? Share please!

Oxygen Bar?

I went with some friends to a concert at the U on Friday and it was the big Halloween bash. We didn't know this and weren't dressed up but that's okay, we were also the oldest people there :-) Wow. Everyone was so young. I don't remember being that young when i was in college. I also don't remember Halloween being so slutty when i was in college. It's basically just an excuse for girls to dress like whores for a night. Craziness.

Anyhoo, the band was great. They are called Dark Sky City and ya'll should check them out. We then wandered around a bit while the band packed up. We got airbrushed tatoos, and then tried out the Oxygen Bar. Have you all heard about this? You put on one of those oxygen tube thingers like at the hospital and then you hook up to these tanks of "flavored" oxygen. It was interesting. I really like the peppermint. It made my nose tingle and was very relaxing. Still weird though.

Here are some pics of it. The one of us is very blurry, sorry. I'm working on getting a better one.

Important Issues

We live in crazy times. There is so much going on right now. Very important stuff that we really need to pay attention to. The election, the economy, the war, world hunger...It's overwhelming when you really think about it.

I think we should all step back a moment and focus on what's really important in life...MY HAIR. It's at that crazy point right now where i can grow it back out or cut it again. Ack!!! What to do?

Now this is a serious tragedy!! Forget the stock market fluctuating. Should my hair go UP or DOWN!??!

Here to help you make the most important decision of your lives are some rare pictures of me.

Take a while and really ponder this decision...a lot rests on you. Look at it from all sides and take all things into account. The happiness of so many rests in your able hands.

My coworker Brittany and i hit the Wednesday wall a bit early today and Britt created this cute sticker of her little family.

I decided to create one too!

Ready for this?

I went back and made one with my whole family. It's pretty awesome. People seemed to not realize i was joking!

Topic for Tuesday, October 14: Reality TV

Which reality TV show would you want to be on and why?

I don't actually watch a lot of TV, especially reality TV but i've got to admit that i love The Amazing Race. I would love to be on that show. Travel to cool places, see amazing things, the chance to shave your head... I can't think of another that i really like. The Biggest Loser? I would like to be on that show. Have a personal trainer, lose weight and have a chance at money? Sounds good!

Man, I have been MIA for awhile now. I actually miss blogging. Sadly not much has happened that i could blog about.

I moved! I guess that's something. I love my new place and the very short commute. It's great. I went to my new ward yesterday and I was so nervous. It was good though. I met some very nice people and i think it will be okay. It's been snowing for the last three days. Everyone is complaining but i love it! It's so pretty and so good for the whole water situation round here. We do live in the desert. We should never complain about water!

I will post pics of my new place later this week. For now you get this:

A pic from Lindsay's b-day part (happy birthday Linds!!!)

And some awesome shots of my very skillful doing of Emmy's hair. Cute right? I don't get why Jayne and won't let me watch her anymore... :-)

Stuff White People Like

So there is this site (and i think a book now) called Stuff White People Like. It is so funny...because it's true. I subscribe to their updates (which is actually something that white people like!) If you are white you will totally laugh at how true these are and if you aren't white you will totally laugh at how true they are and you will laugh next time you see a white person doing one of these things.

This was the latest one...

#111 Pea Coats

Posted: 02 Oct 2008 01:18 PM CDT

As the temperature starts to drop, many white people are forced to start wearing winter coats. Though many will simply don outdoor performance gear, a great number will turn to the #1 white winter jacket of all time: The Pea Coat.

The Pea Coat was originally worn by sailors and members of the European Navy. If you think about it for a second, this means that the coat is European, Coastal, and Vintage. Three of white people’s favorite things.

Another common characteristic of the coat is that white people will write their names on the label inside the coat. This is not done for fear of theft, but rather as a necessary precaution against party mixups. You see, when a white person attends a party in the winter time they will often be required to put their jacket in a room with literally dozens of other pea coats! Since these coats often contain ticket stubs to the same concerts and identical Trader Joe’s receipts, it can be impossible to find the original owner without a name written inside.

Like with sweaters, the process of acquiring a Pea Coat is almost as important as the coat itself. Fashionable white people can purchase designer pea coats for well over $1000, but the top ranked white people purchase their at Army Surplus stores. This makes them feel better than the white people have spent thousands of dollars on an identical piece of clothing.

But perhaps the greatest value of the pea coat is it’s ability to help you determine which non-white people have been accepted into the ranks of white people. It is not known if the coat is given to them in an elaborate ceremony or if they buy it themselves, but in either case by wearing the coat they are telling the world that they have white friends.

Long story short, if you want to increase your popularity with white people this winter, get a Pea Coat.

Funny right? Love it. Some people get offended but if we can't laugh at ourselves we are doomed. I also loved this one:

And this one (please see my post from last week):

Just read them. You will laugh your head off.
