The one thing that has kept me going this week is the AMAZING concert i went to last Saturday night.
Ready for this?
NKOTB!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!! WHOOO!!!!!!!
For those of you not In The Know, NKOTB stands for New Kids On The Block. Yes that's right, you heard me, New Kids On The Block. Rock On!
- the "Kids" are now all in their 40's
- they grab themselves a lot now (?!?!?!?)
- they have backup dancers (strippers)
- they where a lot of sequins, chains, and bling
- they like fans (the kind that blow air...like MJ)
- their new music is REALLY bad
- THE TICKETS WERE FREE!!!
It was one of the funniest things i've ever seen. First off it was a huge crowd, sold out, and the crowd was chock full of moms. A lot of people were dressed just like the concerts was in '89. Huge buttons, hats, band t-shirts, day-glo, tights. It was awesome. There were a lot of teenagers there and they new all the words to the Natasha Beddingfeild songs. Once NKOTB came out they were pretty silent. It was then OUR time! I was having major flashbacks singing Hangin' Tough, Cover Girl, Step by Step, Please Don't Go Girl, The Right Stuff...
Then they started singing their new stuff. We left soon after. It was weird. They were trying to be all sexy and young but weren't pulling it off. Jordon did a solo where there was a fan on him and a spotlight and he had on a white button up shirt that was unbuttoned and blowing off. I havn't laughed so hard in a long time, maybe not the response he was looking for. Hmmm.
Sorry, i took these on my iPhone. No zoom. But you get the idea.
This is us looking very...something, during Jordon little strip tease.
Here are some more. I can't even describe it in words...
I know you are all very jealous. I recorded some of the concert on my phone if you need a little NKOTB fix.
